The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Applera, dba Applied Biosystem, Foster City, CA 944404, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is for two (2) each of the following item: 1) Part Number 4337451; Description-TF, BDT v1.1 RR-5000 & SEQ Buffer Reactions per kit. Schedule delivery dates for the kits is one kit each on 2/8/08 and one each on 2/15/08. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities/specifications to the Contracting Specialist at the address stated above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 8 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
