Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center intends to award on a sole-source basis, under the proce-dures set forth in FAR Part 13, a Blanket Purchase Agreement, to Smith & Nephew, Inc., Endos-copy Division for a variety of orthopedic and prosthetic implants and implements (specifically: suture anchors and suture shuttles). These items have been reviewed and trialed in surgical pro-cedures by the facility's Surgery Service staff and have been found to provide advantages over similar products offered by other manufacturers. This announcement constitutes the only notice of this action. A solicitation will not be issued. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation within 7 days of this an-nouncement which shall be considered by the agency.
