Intent to Sole Source: The Department of Veterans Affairs, John D. Dingell Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, MI 48201, intends to sole source to Alcon Laboratories, Inc. 6201 S. Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76134. Alcon Surgical shall provide Intraocular Lenses on a consignment for the VA Medical Center, Detroit, MI. This proposed contract action is for the consignment of the lenses mentioned above, which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. All FAR provisions and clauses maybe reviewed and/or obtained from he General Service internet address: http://www.gover/far. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposal contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely with the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
