The Department of Veterans Affairs, West Palm Beach Medical Center intends to procure on a sole source basis, with Photomedex, Inc. 147 Keystone Drive, Montgomery, PA 18936 for Dermatology equipment. This procurement is for one (1) XTRAC Excimer Laser Systems for the treatment of psoriasis. It is also for treatment of vitiligo and atopic dermatitis. Uses a focused beam of light delivered through a sophisticated liquid light guide device, the XTRAC system allows the physician to use the high dose of monochromatic UVB right to the spot of the problem for fast, effective treatment while minimizing the risk of exposure to healthy skin.The proposed contract action is for supplies and the government intends to procure with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302, FAR 15.308 and FAR 11.105. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties that believe they can meet these needs must supply information about their capabilities no later than 12:00PM EST, 8/6/2008. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This award will be made using commercial acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR PART 12. No solicitation will be made available. The anticipated award date is August 6, 2008. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
