The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) in Milwaukee, WI intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13) with Providian Medical Equipment, Inc, 30510 Lakeland Boulevard Unit A, Willoughby, OH 44095-5239, as the only source that is able to provide a Refurbished Acusion Sequoia 512 Ultrasound System. The Acusion Sequoia is the only known product to meet the Governments needs. Specifically, the contractor shall provide the following: Item 1: - Acuson Sequoia 512 Ultrasound System REV 12.22, (Part #IA 512, Quantity 1); Item 2: - Acuson 8V3C 8-3 MHZ Sector Array Transducer - (Part #ACU 8V3C, Quantity 1); Item 3: - Acuson V5M 5.0MHZ Transesophageal Cardio, (Part #Probe, Quantity 1); Item 4: - DVD Writer, (Part #Peripheral, Quantity 1); Item 5: - DICOM Software, (Part #Dicom Software, Quantity 1); This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures (IAW FAR 13). There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 423450 with a Small Business Size Standard of 000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received within 5 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
