The South Texas Veterans Healthcare System, Audie L. Murphy Division, intends to award a sole source consignment contract with 1 base year and (1) one-year options for renewal to United States Surgical. United States Surgical will provide polyester mesh repair products within the "Parietex Mesh" series under this consignment agreement. This agreement is being conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation subpart 13.501(a)(2)(I), test program, using simplified acquisition procedures. This brand name and manufacturer is the product that provides the salient properties as determined by the STVHCS surgical department to best meet the needs of patient care for laparoscopic ventral hernia repair. This sole source consignment agreement is under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(5) and 38 U.S.C. 8123. This notice is being provided in accordance with, OFPP Memorandum dated April 17, 2006, Publication of Brand Name Justifications.
