The South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) Audie L. Murphy Division has a requirement for drug eluting coronary stents designed to slow the progression of instent restenosis (ISR). The Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital, San Antonio, TX, proposes to award a sole source consignment contract with Boston Scientific. Contract will be for base year and (4) twelve-month options to renew. Boston Scientific is to provide the following sizes of TAXUS drug-eluting coronary stents: 2.50, 2.75, 3.00, 3.50 x 8mm; 2.50, 2.75, 3.00, 3.50 x 12mm; 2.50, 2.75, 3.00, 3.50 x 16mm; 2.50, 2.75, 3.00, 3.50 x 20mm; 2.50, 2.75, 3.00, 3.50 x 24mm; 2.75, 3.00, 3.50 x 28mm; 2.75, 3.00, 3.50 x 32mm. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation subpart 13.501(a)(2)(I), test program, using simplified acquisition procedures.
