The John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, 4646 John R Street, Detroit, MI intends to negotiate a sole source award (IAW FAR 13) with Medical Solutions, Inc, 3901 Center View Drive, Suite L, Chantilly, VA 20151-3229, as the only source that provides a 3-liter Bag Warming System used for warming various fluids such as I.V fluids or various fluids for the body. Medical Solutions has the only product that monitors and displays the actual fluid temperature of each bag, monitors and displays the actual time the bag has been warming, rapidly warms three liter bags in less than an hour, while the documenter assists in compliance with regulatory standards and fluid manufacturers' recommendations. This system provides Time/Date Stamp Technology, it has the capacity of holding (8) 3000 ml bags and a locking cabinet that assists in compliance with regulatory standards. This vendor is the only one that makes an irrigation warmer for a 3-liter bag of fluid. Specifically, the contractor shall provide the following: Two (2) Complete Warming System (MPN): 8N1 and this acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures (IAW FAR 13). There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334510 with a SBA Size Standard of 750 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement.
