Gulf Coast VA Medical Center 400 Veterans Avenue Biloxi, MS 39531 SCOPE OF WORK AND GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR: PURITAN BENNETT COVIDIEN 980 MECHANICAL VENTILATORS 1. Background The Gulf Coast Veterans Healthcare System (GCVHCS) Respiratory Therapy Department has eight Puritan Bennett 840 ventilators whose technology is 18 years old. These eight ventilators were manufactured in 2006 and will reach their end-of-service life on December 31, 2018. The current units will be used as trade-ins towards the purchase of eight Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators. 2.
