The City of Blakely is considering seeking funds from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Fiscal Year 2021 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, to include regular round CDBG funds. The City is requesting statements of qualifications and proposals from Engineers with a strong record in successfully assisting local governments with the implementation of CDBG projects, both in planning and design and project follow through. The City is considering the development of a project to make Sewer System Improvements. This 2021 procurement action may also lead to additional contracts and/or contract addendums for planning, design and other related services. If the grant was awarded, the selected Engineering firm would be guaranteed the contract for Engineering services. Some of the evaluation factors to be considered when selecting a firm are: 1. Qualifications and experience regarding skills to be used on CDBG projects, including training, background, and list of current and past projects. Please include references, with contact numbers. 2. Fees associated with grant application development and administration.3. Familiarity with the project and the community. 4. Scope and level of service provided, if selected.5.
