The Bureau of the Census intends to enter into a sole source simplified acquisition with Netversant-Mid-Atlantic, Inc. to provide the following equipment to retro-fit (8) existing Pelco/Harris PTZ domes with (8) new “state of the art” Pelco Spectra III SE day/night domes and add (3) additional Pelco Spectra III SE domes to provide coverage of the rear and sides of the Bowie Computer Center. In addition, NetVersant will replace the existing Pelco 8500 matrix switch and joystick keyboard controller with a new Pelco CM680, 32 by 6 matrix and new joystick keyboard controller, to create a true 32-bit camera system. It is the Bureau of the Census belief that NetVersant can satisfy this requirement since they provide maintenance service to the Census Bureau’s closed circuit television systems. They are responsible for maintaining these systems and ensuring all equipment associated with these systems are in working order. This is not a request for competitive proposals; however, responses within 15 days from the posting of this notice will be reviewed and evaluated.
