Pre-Solicitation Notice: This is not a request for proposal.
The Mission and Installation Contracting Command- Presidio of Monterey (MICC-POM) announces the anticipated release of proposed solicitation W9124N-12-T-0086 on or about 21 August 2012, to install panic hardware, entry alarm, air curtains, and emergency exit lighting at the dining facility building 206, which will include all labor, materials and equipment to complete the project. The project is located at Fort Hunter Liggett, CA, which is a military installation located approximately 72 miles north of San Louis Obispo in Monterey County, California 93928. The anticipated period of performance will be 60 days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bid, Performance and Payment Bonds are not required; however, alternative payment protections will be required. The contracting officer will select two or more of the payment protections listed in FAR 28.102(b)(1). The contractor shall submit one of the payment protections selected by the contracting officer. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
It is anticipated that the solicitation will be a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Set-Aside. The applicable NAICS Code for this acquisition is 561621; the size standard is $12.5 million. Contract award will be based on the Low Price Technically Acceptable process. The contract will be firm-fixed price.
The solicitation will be available through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website (http://www.fbo.gov) and the Army Single Face to Industry (AFSI) website (https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/). No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database (www.ccr.gov), prior to award of a government contract.
