PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE The Marine Corps Systems Command, 2200 Lester Street, Quantico, Virginia 22134, intends to solicit and award a Sole Source Firm-Fixed Price contract with Bren-Tronics, Inc. of Commack, NY. This contract action is for USMC fielded Soldier Portable Charger (SPC) and Vehicle Mounted Charger (VMC) battery chargers logistical support. The USMC must have the necessary life-cycle logistics functions for sustained support of these items to fulfill its obligation to properly field and support existing equipment. It is necessary to procure from the original equipment manufacturer Bren- Tronics, Inc. of Commack, NY, logistics data and support equipment, to include technical manuals, parts provisioning data, initial support parts package, and technical support hours. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only Bren-Tronics, Inc., under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 since they are the sole manufacturer and technical services provider for this logistical support. The con! tract term will be five (5) years from date of contract award. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 335999 number of employees is 500. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available.
