This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a written document will not be issued. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-20. The applicable NAICS is 541512; small business size standard in $21.0 million. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business. The contract will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. UPS Installation: Install a 100 amp temporary line from panel PPB to PPC; Shut down UPS connected load (panel PPC) Shutdown UPS; Shutdown bypass transformer; Disconnect UPS connection to panel PPC; Connect temporary line to PPC; Start-up critical load from temporary connection; Disconnect existing UPS, battery system and bypass transformer; Remove from UPS room; Set new UPS module, battery cabinet and Maintenance bypass switch; Make all required electrical connections between the equipment; Start-up and test to verify proper operation; Shutdown load connected to panel PPC; Disconnect temporary connection from panel PPB; Connect UPS out to panel PPC; Start-up critical equipment. Units to be installed at the following locations: (1) National Weather Service 251 Fuller Road, Suite B300, Albany, NY 12203-3640; (2) National Weather Service, 587 Aero Drive, Cheektowaga, NY 14225-1405. Closing date for the receipt of quotes is 19 April 2004, 3:00 P.M. ESDT. Quotes may be submitted on company letterhead stationary and must include the following information: Nomenclature, Part Number, Unit Price, Extended Price, Estimated Delivery Date, Payment Terms and discount offered for prompt payment, F.o.b. shipping terms, and manufacturers specifications.
