This is a Presolicitation Notice of an upcoming requirement, not a solicitation.
The Bureau of Reclamation, Missouri Basin Region intends to solicit proposals for furnishing the replacement power and control sections for the Spirit Mountain powerplant¿s existing exciter system. Ancillary to furnishing the new exciter components, the contractor will perform two site visits. The first will be used to collect and verify exciter component salient characteristic, interface and installation requirements, prior to the design and fabrication of the new components. The second visit will be used to provide authorized factory representative consulting to support government installation and commissioning of the overall exciter system, after the new furnished exciter components are installed and tested. The authorized factory representative will also provide maintenance, operation, and testing training. This equipment is to be used at the Spirit Mountain Powerplant in Park County, approximately 6 miles west of Cody, Wyoming. The powerplant contains a single hydroelectric generator rated 5 MVA that operates at 6.9 kV. Principal components and salient characteristics for the new, furnished power and control sections of the exciter include Voltage regulator, Firing control circuits, Power amplification circuits, Rectifier bridges and Exciter protective devices. When issued, the acquisition will be a resultant Firm-Fixed Price contract.
This procurement is set-aside 100% for Small Business. Pursuant to Part 12 and Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations, Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or around June 29, 2020. Proposals will be due on or around July 31, 2020.
The North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) for this action is 335312 Motor and Generator Manufacturing. The Size Standard is 1,250 Employees.
