The U.S. Department of Agriculture proposes to install an emergency backup generator at the USDA-ARS in Starkville, MS. The contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment, supplies, transportation, and supervision to install and test a new 250 kilowatt diesel emergency back-up generator. This is inclusive of a battery, charger, muffler, automatic transfer switch, and a day tank. Also, inclusive is the conduit, wire, and terminations (conduit(s) shall be run underground). The contractor shall be responsible for pouring a concrete pad on which the generator will be placed. The work shall be performed at the USDA- ARS, located at Starkville, Mississippi. ?This procurement requires the use of biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. Where available, these products should first be acquired from among qualified products that fall under the umbrella of items designated through the Federal Biobased Products Preferred Procurement Program (FB4P)? An IFB with complete specification requirements will be issued on or about June 5, 2007 with all bids being due at 3:00 p.m. July 10, 2007.
