This up-coming solicitation is for a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract for all necessary services to carry out the engineering, procurement, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the electrical equipment necessary for the complete manufacture and delivery of new AL FAO 132/33/11kV GIS substation, as detailed in the Scope of Work. Additionally, the site requires manufacturer's recommended spare parts for one year operation, and a detailed list of all manufacturers’ recommended spare parts for the second and third year operation. List shall contain part description, part number and unit price. The Contractor will be required to provide training during construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, the Contractor shall provide on-site and out-of-country training for ME engineers and technicians to ensure a seamless interface between completion of construction, commissioning activities, handover to the Client (PCO) and handover to the end-user (ME). The work for this project is expected to be completed within 350 days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. AL-FAO 132/33/11kV AIS Substation, was an existing substation that was totally destroyed through the Iraq – Iran war. The substation was replaced with 132/11kV mobile sub station and a 10 MVA bank of 5 - 2 MVA diesel generators, the generators are in bad conditions, due to continuous running and over loading conditions. The yard still contains the remains of existing buildings, concrete slabs and foundations. This solictation will be posted on www.rebuilding-iraq.net on or about 30 July 2006. The magnitude of this acquisition is expected to be between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000 (USD). This acquisition is unrestricted.
