SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is seeking sources for the following instrument.
One each commercial 6 inches aperture optical interferometer working on the Fizeau principle with visible light. Must be equipped with a high precision transmission flat and all the necessary software and hardware to measure state of the art X-ray optical components with sub-nanometric level precision and repeatability. Must be equipped with a self-calibration or in-situ calibration routine, and be able to analyze images with up to 100 fringes. The system shall be able to measure both uncoated mirrors (with reflectivity as low as 5% in normal incidence at 632 nm) and coated optics (with reflectivity as high as 99% at 632 nm). It must be possible to implement user scripts or routines in the control software. All the components needed to run and control the interferometer as well as all the hardware and software to calibrate the interferometer shall be provided.
This is not a Solicitation or a Request for Proposal. The Vendor is requested to register in the Interested Vendor portal in this posting. Solicitations will be issued at a date to be determined and at the discretion of SLAC.
