FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competitive basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, ?Only One Responsible Source?, with Logicon DPC of Laurel, MD. The instant requirement is to acquire additional videoconferencing components to expand and upgrade conference rooms with equipment previously purchased from Logicon DPC. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 421690 and the size standard is 100 employees. The resulting solicitation for commercial items will be processed in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Equipment to be acquired includes: (4) Tandberg Codec 2500 (384 Kbps ISDN Ext Net w/768 Kbps IP w/NPP & MS); (4) Triple NT-1; (1) Audio Science Microphone. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within (2) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If a competitive solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation.
