Solicitation Number N00421-05-T-0161 is issued as a Request For Quotes (RFQ). The Naval Air Warfare Center-Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Air Traffic Control Division, St. Inigoes, MD 20684-0010, has a requirement for “Brand Name Mandatory” SYPRIS ELECTRONICS, LLC products. Simplified procedures as described in FAR 13.5 will be utilized for acquisition of the required items. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 334220, “Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing” with a size standard of 750 employees. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price Purchase Order on a “Brand Name Mandatory” basis for the Sypris Electronics, LLC products listed below under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Sypris Electronics LLC, located at 10901 Malcolm McKinley Drive, Tampa, FL 33612-0000, is the sole manufacturer of the required items that are compatible with existing program equipment and will satisfy the Government’s minimum requirement for intended application. The “Brand Name Mandatory” Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) and descriptions for this procurement are: ** CLIN 0001 - P/N: 36026950 Sypris KIV-19A Trunk Encryption Device - (Qty of 6 EA); CLIN 0002 - P/N: 36025830 Power Supply (Qty of 3 EA). ** THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES FOR ITEMS OTHER THAN THE BRAND NAME SYPRIS ELECTRONICS EQUIPMENT LISTED IN THIS SYNOPSIS.** The Government will accept quotes from all responsible sources with the capability to provide the brand name products cited above and will award a Purchase Order resulting from this RFQ to the responsible vendor whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is considered to be most advantageous to the Government.
