This piece of equipment needs to satisfy both our technical and transportability requirements. It must be extremely lightweight. Will be reqired to set up remote production control centers in any location. As a result, we need a television switcher that is less than 25 puonds. The switcher must accommodate up to ten inputs, with a minimum of 4 composite video inputs. Each input must have a vidio preview. Also the unit must have a master preview and program monitor. All video inputs must be able to be seen simultaneously on one screen. The unit must be able to accommodate non-synchronous signals and accept four stereo audio inputs. The unit must be able to time base correct (TBC) all inputs to eliminate intricate timing adjustments. It also must contain an 8 station, 2-channel Intercom system.
