This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The National American Industry Classification Code is 335911 with a Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This solicitation is issued as a total small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a requirement for a one time, firm-fixed price purchase of approximately 3950 LSH 20 Batteries. The exact quantity will be determined by the cost per item and the available funds. The salient characteristics of the battery include a chemical make up of Lithium Thionyl-Chloride, current capacity of no less than 12 amp hours at 3.6 volts, and the physical characteristics of a standard “D” size battery. This battery must also possess safety features, such as an internal fuse and the ability to vent gases in a shorting scenario. The quote shall include shipping and handling charges, if any. The purchasing activity is not responsible for locating or securing any information which is not identified in the quotation and reasonably available to the purchasing activity. All compliant quotes received by the due date will be considered by the government. Delivery will be to the FBI Academy, Quantico, Virginia 22135.
