The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC-SD) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a Sole Source basis to L3 Communications of San Diego, CA for the procurement of nineteen (19) Versa Module Eurocard (VME) cards and seven (7) Type E VME cards. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A sole source solicitation will be issued. The solicitation will be transmitted to the sole source contractor by means other than posting it on the SPAWAR ECC Business Opportunities web site. Note 22 applies.
