The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a sole source solicitation, N00024-03-R-6208, to Lockheed Martin Corporation, Naval Electronic and Surveillance Systems, 9500 Godwin Drive, Manassas, VA 20110-4157 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This procurement is for one ARCI System for the Virginia Class submarine (SSN 788); associated spares and pre-cable kits; and engineering and technical efforts to design and develop improvements to the ARCI system. ARCI is a sonar system that integrates and improves towed array, hull array, sphere array, and other ship sensor processing, through rapid insertion of COTS based hardware and software.
