The Naval Oceanographic Office, Stennis Space Center, MS intends to issue a sole source award to Klein Associates Inc., Salem, NH under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The requirement is in accordance with a Sole Source Justification that describes the need for three (3) TOSS 79 kHz sidescan transducers modified for deep ocean operation. The resulting contract will be a fixed price. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive offers. Any inquiries concerning this requirement are to be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
