The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, Rome NY intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source purchase order under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with DRS Signal Solutions, 700 Quince Orchard Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20878-1794 to provide 12 PCM Demodulators/Decoders. These demodulator/decoders are designed for Government specifications to perform demodulation, decoding, and de-randomization on a half-length PCI computer card. It supports data rates from 1.2 KBps to 40MBps and employs a 256 tap equalizer to combat multi-path laden environments. In addition, in order to be compatible with front-end hardware the SI-9485 supports a 160Mhz IF input. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
