The Naval Air Warfare Center-Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Contracts Division (Code 2.5.1.2), St. Inigoes, MD, intends to issue a firm-fixed price purchase order under FAR Parts 12.5 and 13.5 with Trivec Avant Corporation. 17831 Jamestown Lane, Huntington Beach, CA 92647 for 260 each commercial UHF SATCOM Antennas part number AV 2091-0-10. The acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Trivec Avant Corporation is the only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements as the antennas must be interoperable, compatibile, and form, fit, and function replacement for current SATCOM qntennas currently fielded. Use of an alternative product would cause the Governmenet to incur significant costs to modify the existing SATCOM design, re-create system documentation, user training, and configuration management costs associated with managing two different antenna models in the field. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However responsible interested parties may submit information in which they identify their interest and capability. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Contracts shall consider all responses received by 3:30 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, September 7, 2007.
