The Naval Air Warfare Center-Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Special Communications Requirements (SCR) Division (Code 4.5.11), St. Inigoes, MD, has a requirement for ?Brand Name Mandatory? TANDBERG video presentation and teleconferencing equipment. This procurement is solicited as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price Contract on a ?Brand Name Mandatory? basis for the Tandberg products listed below under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 ?Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.? Tandberg is the sole manufacturer of the required equipment that meets the Joint Special Operations Command Unit Integrated Communications Vehicle (JSOC ICV) program. As required, the Tandberg equipment utilizes a transportable video teleconferencing device with embedded encryption for authentication and security that will ensure a high level of quality for video presentations and audio communication transfer. The program requires a video teleconferencing device with a design that is compact to fit within a compartment that is twenty-one (21) inches wide and eight (8) inches tall within the ICV. Since the video teleconferencing device will be utilized to communicate with other ICV located in various areas, it is vital to the program that the device be able to join, at minimum, six (6) video and five (5) audio sites with multi-site functionality. The device must protect against network interruptions in location to location and multi-location calls. These characteristics are vital to sustain communications sites that may be located in remote areas. Only Tandberg can supply the requested video teleconferencing device that meets project requirements. These packages will be applied to both commercial and military vehicle/platforms for overseas operations. Award is anticipated by 1 March 2007.
