This is a market survey to locate sources of Software Defined Radios (SDR) for use by the U.S. Government to evaluate the feasibility of waveform porting and interoperability with current U.S. military radios. The radio must be sufficiently software programmable to host waveform code presently being developed to emulate existing military radios. It is also highly desirable that the radio already contains one or more U.S. tactical waveforms and be capable of communicating with currently fielded radio s. Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Software Communications Architecture (SCA) compliance is preferred, but not a mandatory requirement at this time. The minimum required overall Radio Frequency (RF) range over which the radio must operate is 1.5 to 51 2 MHz, which could be performed by either one or two RF front-ends or radio models. The radio shall be able to host such waveforms as SINCGARS ESIP/INC, HF (AM, FM, SSB) with ALE (Automatic Link Establishment), Have Quick I/II, and other VHF/UHF AM/FM wav eforms. Preferably the radio should be a non-developmental (NDI) production item, using mature proven technology. Any interested sources please send information for evaluation NLT 15 days after this publication to US Army CERDEC. This information should include technical specification sheets, price list, availability, and previous sales history. Attn: AMSRD-CER-ST-WL-TR (Valerie Hufford) Bldg. 2700, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703.
