This synopsis provides notice of the Government’s intent to solicit a proposal on a sole source basis with REDCOM Laboratories, Inc., One Redcom Center, Victor, NY 14504-0950. The contract type is anticipated to be a Firm Fixed Price commercial type contract. The Contract Line Item Numbers and descriptions are: CLIN 0001 Redcom HDX 800 Line Switch ( 2 ea); CLIN 0002 Redcom HDX TCP (5 ea); CLIN 0003 Spares for Redcom HDX 800 Line Switch (1 ea); CLIN 0004 Spares for Redcom HDX TCP (1 ea); CLIN 0005 Line Boards (21 ea); CLIN 0006 On-Site Technical Assistance (1 Lot); CLIN 0007 High Density Exchange (HDX) Delta Training Course (1 ea); This equipment will be used to upgrade existing Technical Control Facilities to allow switching capability to support the Integrated Services Digital Network Basic Rate Interfaces (ISDN BRI) and ISDN Primary Rate Interfaces. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, REDCOM is the only known source capable of satisfying the Government’s minimum requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, responsible interested parties may submit a proposal in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider all information received by 23 March 2007, 1600 EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
