The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, St. Inigoes, MD, Approach Systems Branch has a requirement for fabrication of radomes for the AN/SPN-35C radar systems. The AN/SPN-35C is an upgrade for reliability and maintainability that will be functional replacement fot the legacy AN/SPN-35B systems currently installed aboard U.S. Navy LHA and LHD Class ships. The Government anticipates award of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract (IDIQ) type contract with a base period and four one-year option periods, for a total of five years. The work performed under the resultant contract will be to fabricate radomes for the AN/SPN-35C radar systems. The radomes shall comply with specifications set forth in the control drawing provided as part of the solicitation. The Government’s minimum ordering requirement will be satisfied in the base ordering period with the procurement of one first article test unit, the units ordered thereafter shall be manufactured and delivered to the Government. The Government’s anticipated ordering requirement over the five ordering periods is a quantity of approximately 15 each. The applicable NAICS Code is 334511, size standard 750 employees. The period of performance under the proposed contract will span a period of five years tentatively beginning 1 March 2005 through 28 Februrary 2010. The award of the contract will be based on the Best Value to the Government.
