The Naval Air Warfare Center-Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Special Communications Requirements (SCR) Division (Code 4.5.11), St. Inigoes, MD, intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order to Professional Products, Inc., 9116 Gaither Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20877, on a Sole Source basis for procurement of the PVW2800P Sony Betacam Recorder / Player, Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment. This equipment will support the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Psychological Operations Broadcast System (POBS) Flyaway Broadcast System (FABS) Program. The Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) and Descriptions for this procurement are: ** CLIN 0001 – Model #: PVW2800P, Sony Betacam SP PAL Edit Recorder / Player (QTY: 3 Units Ea) ** This acquisition is being solicited on a Sole Source basis under the Statutory Authority Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, as implemented by 10 U.S.C. 2034(c)(1). Professional Products, Inc., is the sole distributor of the required equipment that will allow uniformity with video formatting of other subsystems in the program. This will prevent loss of data due to incompatibility and will satisfy the Government’s need for intended application. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334220 with a Size Standard of 750 Employees. Award is anticipated by 15 March 2006, with a required delivery date of 15 April 2006. Contract is to be FOB Destination to Receiving Officer, NAWCAD, Building 8115, Villa Road, St. Inigoes, MD 20684-0010, and shall be Marked For (M/F) as specified.
