The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) intends to award on a sole source basis a firm fixed priced contract for the purchase of 4, KG-75A Encryption Devices, Part Number FLS-54999-1, to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), General Dynamics C4 Systems, Inc., 77A Street, Needham, MA, 02494-2806. CAGE: 04655. The KG-75A Fastlane ATM/Sonet Encryptors were developed by and the design drawings are owned by General Dynamics C4 Systems, Inc (GDC4). GDC4 is the only known source that can neet the Government’s technical requirements for system compatibility. GDC4 has proprietary rights to the encryptors and currently have no distributors for the encryptors. No technical drawing or data are available. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Delivery of the Encryptors will be Free on Board (F.O.B.) Destination and within 120 days after award of contract to: NAWCWD, China Lake, CA 93555-6108.
