The US Army Communications, Electronics, Research, Development and Engineering Command (CERDEC) intends to procure 20 each IPv4-IPv6 Prototype Transformers. The inital prototype produced a self-contained software and hardware solution for the adapta tion of an existing IPv4 end user or aoolication to an emerging IPv6 network infrastructure. These prototypes will be tested in a controled test laboratory environment with minimal prior configuration. It is anticipated that a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee contrac t will be awarded on a sole source basis to Datatek Applications, Inc., 721 Route 202-206 South, Bridgewated, NJ, 08807 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 23041(c)(1) Only One Responsible Source, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not posses s technical data (drawing or specifications) completely defining the form, fit and function of the item being procured. In addition, the form, fit and function is not defined by any nationally recognized standard or specification. The estimated value for this award will be $230,000.00.
