THIS IS A MODIFICATION TO THE SYNOPSIS POSTED ON JANUARY 5, 2006: The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) intends to issue a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to Harris Corporation, 1680 University Avenue, Rochester, NY 14610. Under this BOA, it is anticipated that SPAWAR will issue delivery orders for an estimated 13 HF Broadband Communications Systems (AN/URC-131( )(V) HFRG) for the DDG-51 Class, LPD-17 Class, and CVN-68 Class ships, and delivery orders may be awarded for engineering services to refurbish existing systems and provide support to any of the HFRG systems. Delivery orders may also be issued for spares/repair parts, installation hardware, field engineering/technical services, depot repair services, and updated technical data such as maintenance procedures, training course materials, provisioning data, technical manuals, product/installation drawings, and computer resources documentation. The Government may convert this into a contract or a combination of delivery orders under the BOA and a contract if requirements dictate it.
