The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, MD has a sole source requirement for the following services through General Kinetics Incorporated. The services are in support of the AN/SPN-35C Radar Systems. The contractor must be capable of fabricating Unit 1A2, R/T Electrical Equipment Cabinets, Unit 1A2A42 Power Control/Distribution Chassis’, Unit 1A7 Radar Group Junction Box Enclosures, Unit P/O 1A7 Cover Enclosures, Unit 2 Radar Indicator Controller Cabinets, Unit 2A2 Power Control/Distribution Chassis’, Unit 2A3 MIOP Drawer Chassis’, Unit 3 Power Distribution Switchboard Cabinets, Unit 5 Control Indicator Display Chassis’, and Unit 8 Electrical Equipment Enclosures for the Aircraft Control Approach Central AN/SPN-35C Radar system in compliance with the source control drawings and specifications provided as part of the solicitation. The equipment cabinets shall meet the design, finish, and performance requirements specified in the drawings and specifications. All work will be performed at the contractor’s facility. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy the agency requirements. General Kinetics Incorporated is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and currently the only company that possesses the proprietary documentation and drawings, special tooling and requisite knowledge required to build the equipment cabinets. Therefore, this acquisition shall be negotiated on a sole source basis with General Kinetics Incorporated of 10688-D Crestwood Drive, Manassas, VA 20109-3464. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity type contract will be awarded with delivery of the equipment cabinets within 120 days after award of each order. Final product will be shipped FOB Destination to the Naval Air Warfare Center, Receiving Officer, Villa Road, Bldg. 8115, Unit 11, St. Inigoes, MD 20684-0010. This procurement is being contracted on the basis of "other than full and open competition pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other goods or services will satisfy agency requirements).
