The Bureau of Land Management proposes to noncompetitively issue a purchase order to W-W Manufacturing Co., Inc., P.O. Box 728, Dodge City, Kansas 67801 for the purchase of Panels, Posts and Gates. The purpose of purchasing the panels, posts and gates is to expand fencing installed approximately 6 years ago at the Burns Wild Horse Corral, Burns, Oregon. Approximately 14 years ago the Burns District began replacing wooden fence material with heavy duty W-W panels, interlocking posts and 4 inch steel casing for posts. The fence material to be purchased will match the material installed 14 years ago which has proven to withstand the extreme force of wild horses. No maintenance has been required on this fence material. The panels,posts and gates are to be supplied in the following quantities and must include the following salient characteristics: Panels: 451 - 6 X 12 foot 700 series Classic panels, 8 - 7 X 12 foot 700 series Classic panels. Posts: 416 - 7 feet Classic 2-way posts 700 Series 2-3/8" OD x 0.154 wall steel tubing, 35 - 7 feet Classic 3-way posts 700 Series 2-3/8 " OD x 0.154 wall steel tubing, 8 - 8 feet Classic 2-way posts 700 Series 2-3/8 " OD x 0.154 wall steel tubing. Gates: (All gates will have a double plunger horseback latch and telescoping patch hinges to fit 4 inch OD pipe posts.) 26 - 6 feet x 12 feet Classic Corrals Gate, 7 - 6 feet x 14 feet Classic Corrals Gate and 1 - 6 feet x 4 feet Classic Corrals Gate. Vendors which can meet the above contract requirements should submit their qualifications in writing specifically addressing the criteria described above to the Contracting Officer. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will consider all responses received by 12:00 pm PST, Friday, March 30, 2007. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
