The Government intends to negotiate and award, a sole source commercial firm fixed priced type contract to Black Hills Ammunition, of Rapid City, SD,  in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, for Cartridge, 5.56, 62 grain RRLP Frangible Bullets, small arms ammunition.  The Contract award is intended to be made by 31 December 2011 or earlier.  This is for commercial supplies. The resulting contract will be for a period of nine months.  This solicitation is sole source and shall be awarded on a one-time basis.  The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 332992. 

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.  No formal solicitation package is available.  The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in responding to this notice.
