PART I ? DESCRIPTION OF ELEMENTS
0001 Manufacture of a complete preconstructed
Steel-Building for RAF Mildenhall, UK,
in accordance with the requirements set forth in
Section B, consisting of the following for one (1) set:
0001AA 9 ea Wall element without openings measurement
per element: 3000 x 3750mm,
consisting of: thermally separated, statically determined and horizontally installed steel-polyurethane sandwich elements with also statically determined steel frames. This combination of steel frames IAW the reinforced sandwich elements forms the actual self-supporting, statically determined wall element construction.
The smooth wall elements are equipped with one horizontally running lock beading every 325 mm. All elements are industrially prefabricated with a width of 3000 mm and the required element height.

Minimum thickness d=62.5 mm
Protection against loss of heat:
Polyurethane foam
Minimum heat transition coefficient:

Sheeting:

1-part-complete glass door element, one wing as turn-wing and on parapet height devided by transom profile. In the parapet area there is on glazing level a closed panel in color of the frames. Interior the door is equipped with panic hardware (bar-type handle). External there is on parapet height and on both sides a push-handle in high grade steel. The door element is equipped with an upper door closer.

Type Description:
The top and bottom parts of the roof
elements with a width of 3000 mm consists
of long-stalk steel sheets with trapezoidal
corrugations in a galvanized and plastic-laminated structure. The exact profiling of the sheets with trapezoidal corrugations
depends on the statically requirements.
Integrated, galvanized and coated bearing
elements as well as non-flammable heat
insulation?s made out of mineral fiber IAW
DIN 18 165, material class A2 IAW DIN 4102
between upper- and lower shell.
The average heat transition coefficient of
the roof elements shall be: k = 0.55
W/sqm k.

The sheets with trapezoidal corrugations of
the roof elements are to be equipped with a
weather-resistant surface protection

SECTION B- DESCRIPTIONS/SPECIFICATIONS
B.1 GENERAL
All items shall be new and are to be supplied from the manufacturer?s most current production and shall be in strict compliance with the item description set forth in Section B.
B.2 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The specification covers the manufacturing of prefabricated steel building elements for
RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom. The erection and anchoring of the building take place on a concrete foundation.
B.3 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

The wall and roof elements are component parts of the statically determinable system. After the installation of the connection and fastening parts, these parts will guarantee a structural unit. The units of weight are stated for all component parts for technical assembly reasons. The accessories are based on the statical values of the unit parts and the technical assembly instructions. The order of parts, subject to the reasons mentioned before, requires the prefabrication of all details by one manufacturer.
B.4 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
a. The contractor shall provide foundation, construction, and installation drawings
b. All described parts of the system shall be delivered ready for assembling/installation including all fastening materials.
c. All parts shall be marked IAW the installation drawings.
d. All small parts shall be packed, and provided with a list of contents.
e. The manufacturer must deliver instructions for the temporary storage for all large roofing parts.
f. The contractor shall provide all required statical computations within 20 working days after contract award.
g. The roof construction and roof skin shall be manufactured in accordance
with:
