This solicitation will contain NSN 5330-01-477-3955 for a PACKING ASSEMBLY used on the FA-18 Aircraft. A Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued for award of a firm fixed price contract. This item must be acquired from an approved manufacturer; Boeing, Cage (76301) P/N: 74B430603-107; the quantity is as follows: 86 each. FOB: Origin; Inspection/Acceptance: Destination based on the Basic Order Agreement. Delivery: 365 DARO. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The solicitation issue date is on or about November 6, 2014; In accordance with 10 U. S. C. 2304 (c) (1), other than full and open competition applies.

The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only the approved source of supply under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
