It is the intent of this agency to award a sole source contract. Numbered note 22 applies to this posting. This agency intends to award to Winfield Locks, Inc. 1721 Whittier Ave , Costa Mesa, CA 92627-4580. 6 SVS requires the following items: - SAFLOK System 6000, Part No. CS601003, QTY 1 EA. - SAFLOK Mechanical Key Override Left Handed Lock, Part No. MT4000, QTY 98 EA. - SAFLOK Mechanical Key Override Right Handed Lock, Part No. MT4000, QTY 118 EA. A contract for SAFLOK System 6000 and locks for MacDill Air Force Base Lodging will be awarded to Winfield Locks, Inc. following no response back to this notice of intent. The purchase of SAFLOK System 6000 and locks must be done through Winfield Locks because they are the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A complete operating system that was originally installed by SAFLOK and added to in 2003 with the addition of 50 new Temporary Lodging Facilities. The SAFLOK System 6000 is required in the event the original encoder is inoperable, eliminating the possibility of loss of service. The locks are required to replace original front door mechanisms with a new, weather proof model that has a key access override in the event of lockout or emergency. There are no other manufacturer parts that are compatible with the front part of the SAFLOK lock which holds the mechanics of the lock and key override. Market research was conducted for the purchase of SAFLOK System 6000 and locks and Winfield Locks, Inc. is the only contractor found able to supply this item as we require. If no response to this notice is received by 4:00PM EST on Thursday, September 13, 2007, the award for the SAFLOK System 6000 and locks will be made to Winfield Locks, Inc.
