National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to Scintrex Limited to provide three (3) CG-5 Autograv Gravity Meters to include insurance and freight costs. Specifically, the CG-5 Micro Gravity Meter is the only portable relative gravity meter using fused quartz sensors with automatic nulling capability. The quartz sensor is needed for ruggedness and the auto null reduces observation times and eliminates observer biases. Additionally, the gravity meter is equipped with solid start memory so that readings may be recorded along with the coordinates of the survey station and the time of measurement. Authority for this purchase is FAR 6.302-1(a)(ii)Companies that recognize that they can provide the CG-5 autograv gravity meter described above are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer, and provide written supporting evidence to the Contracting Officer within three (3) calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis. The final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on any information provided is solely within the discretion of the Government.
