This is a notice of intent to issue an award to Gregory Poole Equipment Company, 5633 US HWY 301 South, Hope Mills North Carolina 28348-0000 to provide all personnel, equipment, and supplies to enable the contractor to repair the following: 1 Each d eployable earth moving combat equipment DV100, Deuce. Gregory Poole Equipment Company is the only authorized Caterpillar dealer to work on deuce and other construction earthmoving machines in a 75 mile radius around Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The Governm ent intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. A determination by the Government not to comp ete the proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
