The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City (NSWC PC) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Cochran Consulting Incorporated, 1758 Firman Dr, Richardson,Tx 75081,to upgrade seventy-eight Navy Dive Computers (NDCs) from Generation II to Generation III. NAVSEA 00C has added the NDC to the approved for Navy Use (ANU) list for diver equipment. The NDC is a multifunction dive computer that calculates diver decompression schedules and keeps track of dive depth, time, etc. It is life support equipment. It is the only dive computer on the ANU list. Cochran Consulting is the only manufacturer of the NDC. Cochran maintains control of the internal code of the NDC and is the only company that is able to upgrade the NDC from Generation II to Generation III. The anticipated award date will be on or about Aug 15, 2005.
