Project involves approximately 5,410 L.F. of 42-inch diameter water main, 42-inch diameter butterfly valves, hydrants and leads, water service replacements, erosion control, concrete curb and gutter, asphalt and concrete pavement repair, pavement marking, traffic control, tree removal, and restoration. All Work is included in a single prime contract. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. Bid proposals from Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Emerging Business Enterprise (EBE), Small Businesses Enterprise (SBA), Service Disabled Veteran and or Veteran-owned Business (SDV/SVB), are encouraged. Prime Bidders for the project will be required to attend an informational webinar regarding the Racine Works Program (RWP). The next informational webinar will be held on December 16, 2021. Details are provided in the Instructions to Bidders of the Bidding Documents. The Racine Water Utility reserves the right to accept the most advantageous Bid, or to reject any and all Bids. Award of Work described herein is subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes. Bidders are responsible for delivery of the Bidders Qualification statement to the office of the Racine Water Utility at least 5 business days before the Bid opening date. Bids must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Racine Water Utility in an amount of 5% of BIDDER’s maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified check, Surety2000 Bid Bond (OWNER must be registered with Surety2000 in order to accept) or an electronic Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions.
