The solicitation for the requisition of FLU-2A/P Inflation Assembly NSN 4220-00-920-3651 is hereby extended until 12/17/2004. The reason for the extension is due to a specification change as reads below: 1. The specification for this procurement shall be MIL-I-87108A dated 15 April 1983. Performance specification Mil-PRF-87108 dated 16 June 1998 is not adequate for procurement of the FLU-2A/P inflation assembly. 2. In Figure 1 of MIL-I-87108A a notch is shown at the top of the movable spring and sleeve assembly. We are removing the notch from this figure. In figure 9 the sleeve assembly is also shown with a notch. We are removing the notch from this figure also. A note shall be added in the procurement notes that states the sleeve assembly will be made in accordance with Figure 2 without a notch. 3. Add the requirement in paragraph 4.5.1 of Mil-I-87108A under individual inspection to require that every valve be inspected to the operating requirement of paragraph 3.6.6. 4. We require that production lot testing be done per Mil-I-87108A. This should be done on the FLU-2A/P inflation valve, NSN 4220-00-797-0847.
