The Marine Corps Systems Command is seeking potential commercial sources for the 8X8X10 ISO Refrigerated Container (RC). The RC will be used for storage of perishable food items, temperature-sensitive products and medical supplies, using a 4,500 British Thermal Units (BTU) per hour, electric motor-driven refrigeration unit. The RC shall meet all ISO freight container requirements related to cargo containers, including a 9 high stack, and shall meet Cost Guard requirements for safe containers. The RC shall meet all military and commercial transportability requirements. The RC shall be capable of rail transportation without damage or degradation to the RC and without damage to internal fastening devices (e.g., tie-down cables, shelving, blocking, or bracing).
