On behalf of the Office of the Project Manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM MAS), the Army Contracting Command-New Jersey (ACC-NJ) is seeking sources for the development of the 40mm Low Velocity XM1166 High Explosive Airburst (HEAB) System to defeat personnel targets in open and defilade positions for the XM1166 HEAB Program of Record. The program objectives are to develop the XM1166 system to defeat lightly armored personnel targets in the open and in defilade positions when fired from the M320 grenade launcher. No modifications nor alterations to the M320 grenade launcher are anticipated.
It is anticipated that the requirement will be solicited utilizing the Department of Defense (DoD) Ordnance Technology Consortium (DOTC) Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) for the potential award of one or more projects for the development of a 40mm Low Velocity XM1166 HEAB System.
