The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), plans to procure a 4” Wiped film molecular still system with feed pump assembly for use in a wide range of applications. The following shall be included: 1) Four-inch Molecular still, complete with variable speed drive mechanism (wetted parts 316 stainless steel), self supporting still stand, standard glass still body, glass internal condenser, 2000 ml glass graduated feed and degasser flask, 2000 ml glass distillate flask, 2000 ml, residue flask, glass cold trap, 316 stainless steel wiper retainer, Teflon wiper blades, 120 VAC, 50/60 Hz. 2) Metal band heater set with high temperature cordset, “J” thermocouple and insulating jacket, installed. 3) Digital temperature controller with automatic tuning of proportional band, integral and derivative time parameters. Set point and process displays. 4) 2000 ml receiver flasks with 6 mm vacuum stopcock and spherical ball joint at bottom. 5) 5000 ml receiver flasks with vacuum take-off stopcock and spherical socket joint. 6) Lab jacks and corkrings for receiver assembly. 7) Mechanical rotary vane vacuum pump system for medium vacuum range (to 0.05 Torr), with stainless steel fittings for attachment to 4” Wiped-Film Still; 6.9 CFM free air displacement. Includes oil mist eliminator and vacuum tubing. ¾ HP, 120 VAC, 50/60 Hz. 8) Manual bleed valve assembly for controlling and venting vacuum. Includes mounting on vacuum pump. 9) Precision capacitance type pressure transmitter with display and power supply. 10) Feed pump assembly, to include (diaphragm type feed pump; stainless steel processing line; drain valve; check valve; necessary fittings for use with Molecular Still) 11) 2000 ml receiver flasks with 6 mm vacuum stopcock and spherical ball joint at bottom 12) 5000 ml receiver flasks with vacuum take-off stopcock and spherical socket joint Interested vendors capable of providing the Government with the equipment specified above should submit their quotation to the below address.
