The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Afghanistan District intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a Firm Fixed Price contract for the design and construction of Afghanistan National Army Farah Garrison Phase II about 7 KM from the city of Farah, Farah Province, Afghanistan.

Description: design and construct buildings, roads, utilities and other infrastructures for various ANA facilitie s and infrastructures to include: barracks, shower/latrine and storage facilities, administration buildings, Gymnasium, Helipad, medical clinic, fire station, and etc; power plants and electrical distribution system, communication system, sanitary sewer c ollection system, water source and distribution system; road, parking, and sidewalk network inside of the compound; and access road asphalt paving to the garrison from City of Farah.

The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed price basis.
T he magnitude of this construction project is between $ 25,000,000.00 and $100,000,000.00 USD. The expected base contract duration is 300 days.

Acquisition Time Line: Tentative date for issuance of Request for Proposal (RFP) number W917PM-08-R-0052 is 6 April 08. Tentative date for receipt of proposals is 5 May 2008. USACE will conduct a pre-proposal conference in the Qalaa House dayroom on 10 April 07. There will be no organized site visit.
